AR Riflescope™ 4.5-14x42mm

The Burris AR Riflescope Family is a small one: just this 4.5-14x scope.  While the family is small, this scope is big in features, and gives you the chance to push your AR rifle out to some very big distances.

There are two different 4.5-14x models, one calibrated for 5.56 caliber, and one for 7.62 caliber.

AR Riflescope™ 4.5-14x42mm is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Here's The Info They Don't Tell You Remove the elevation cover (the 3 small set screws) and underneath it is the same clicker as the windage dial. It already has MOA ticks on it, but obviously the handle diameter is smaller than the one with these yardages clicks on it. Switching to an MOA-dial is better if you want to zero at 25 or 50 instead of 100yds. The windage and elevation dial are for a 55gr bullet at 3200 FPS, that velocity is probably from a 20 or 22 or 24 inch barrel. My 18 inch barrel is closer to 3000 FPS, so the elevation adjustments are probably off, and noticeably so at yardages past 300 yards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great glass. The good -- I'm really impressed with the clarity of the glass in this scope. It easily rivals my Leupold VX-3 CDS scope with its clarity. I don't believe light gathering is quite as good, but I'm truly amazed at the purity of the glass. It's currently mounted to a AR-15 heavy barrel and has held zero without problems. Comes back to zero consistently as well. The not so good -- Only 4 stars due to the vague feel of the windage adjustment. The clicks are non-audible and difficult to detect. It's not bad for dialing in the initial zero, but rapid precise adjustments are difficult at best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great price and features I bought a Ruger SR 7.62 and wanted a nice scope. I found the Burris AR Rifle scope on line. I took a chance and bought it without actually seeing it in a store. I mounted it to my rifle with the Burris quick release mounts. I'm really happy with both products. After mounting the scope, I zeroed the scope at 25 yrds. Second round, dead center of the target. The quick release mounts allow me to switch to iron sights very quickly. Very impressed with both products so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great scope....needs more magnification Love the scope...wish it was at least a 4x16 but other than that it's great. The free clicker that comes with the scope still hasn't shipped after a month....very slow production

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected quality I just received my new Burris AR riflescope after much anticipation, the quality was unexpected and the finish and feel is more than I expected this is one heavy duty scope to go with my new Springfield Armory M1A rifle still waiting for arrival. This Burris AR scope is the only scope after looking at hundreds that matches my new M1A 7.62 nato, rifle perfectly... Hats off to Burris they did a smashing job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok The scope quality and optics seem very good. However, it is very hard to turn on. Not possible with wet or cold hands. Sent in for repair and receive the same back. They must just think I'm weak

I purchased the AR scope 4.5x14 for my Stag Arms 3T. What scope rings do you recommend for mounting and in what size (high, extra high) to provide proper clearance?

Asked by: vcon2000
I would recommend an AR-PEPR mount.

I'd like to put this AR Riflescope™ 4.5-14x42mm on my Ruger AR-556, but I'm concerned that the sight picture will be interrupte due to the F-height gas block with post front sight. What would be the best set of rings to us if this scope is even practical?

Asked by: MRNY1989
You will not have a problem with your FSB. Anything above 2 power will essentially see right past the sight, similar to how we see past our nose if that makes sense.

How tall is the knob? If use an AR-P.E.P.R. will I be able to mount a red dot on it, please?

Asked by: CHFG
The turret is too tall to have the sight on the rear picatinny, in that you will not be able to see your turret or zero reference. It works much better if you mount the FF on the front picatinny with that scope.

The way I understand, you submit the information for the load you are shooting using the code on the included paperwork to order the custom turret for the elevation. Will I also receive a new wind-age adjustment placard as well? (for a .270, not 556/762)

Asked by: clee_263
Yes. We custom etch a windmap as well.
