Hi. Looking for a 1-4x scope for CMP scoped service rifle. Will the MTAC do the job at 600 yds with the Ballistic AR reticle center dot? I'm shooting 75 and 80 grain bullets across the course. Not afraid to use the elevation and windage knobs. Thanks.

Asked by: Rich4895
That should work just fine with the MTAC. I would highly recommend the Ballistic AR reticle for that purpose.

What is the purpose of the small buuton on the bottom of the mtac scopes?

Asked by: Teoc
That is called a Posi-Skirt. It essentially is similar to Posi-Lock however it is a passive system. It helps the scope maintain a consistent zero under very heavy recoil.

I own a Stag Arms model 15/w nonremoveable carry handle, I would like to mount an optic on top of the handle. My choice is MTAC 1-4x24mm or a red dot of some sorts. Can you suggest an optic and mount that might work? Have P rail for handle.

Hello! I recommend the AR carry handle picatinny adapter from Rock River Arms and a set of low Signature Zee Rings. Sounds like a cool setup!

I purchased the skulltac 1-4X24 with the reticle combo. I am completely happy with this set up. My question I wish to ask, do you offer flip lens covers for this scope? If so do you offer transparent flip lens covers? 1 1/4 front, 1 5/8 rear.

Asked by: jspot48
We do not make any like that, but I recommend Butler Creek. That scope would need sizes 02A and 16.

I'm looking for an optic for hog hunting with my .458 Socom. Is the ballistic reticle on this optic compatible with the .458 Socom round, or is it best suited for 5.56/.223? Also, can this optic withstand the high recoil of the .458 Socom?

Asked by: Bob Socom
Hello, The reticle will not match up with .458 as it is designed for 5.56. As for the recoil it will not be a problem. All Burris Optics are recoil rated to beyond .50BMG.

Does this gather enough light for nighttime hog hunting?

Asked by: Mddky
Unfortunately do to a myriad of factors, that is not really a question that can be answered cut and dry. I have definitely used them at night, but ambient light factors heavily into nighttime shooting regardless of the light transmission of the optic being used.

Have Marlin 444 and want to buy a scope. 100 to 200 yards max. Would like one that I can somewhat mount forward so I don't have to crowd the scope with my eye....solid recoil with this one! Suggestions?

Asked by: Gwj111y
For this setup I recommend the Timberline. It wont add any undue bulk or weight to your setup, and is has a little extra eye relief for heavy hitters.
