AR Riflescope™ 4.5-14x42mm is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Possible warranty issue I purchased this scope and installed it on my AR using the Burris AR-PEPR Tactical Riflescope Rings with Mount. Out of the box using a bore scope, could not adjust elevation high enough to Zero. After remounting and shimming the rear of the scope elevation improved. But after 15 rounds each shot started to stray up and right by .25 inch. Target placement = 35 yards to get "on paper". Currently remounting, will go back to range. If not successful will contact customer support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice scope Pros: good clear image, holds zero, Cons: windage turret very difficult to reset to zero I mounted this on an AR .308, can't comment on the waterproof qualities since I shoot it at benchrest. I have a Nikon M223 on another rifle, and I think the Burris has much better optics.

I'm looking for the correct scope cover for my AR scope model 200333, which would have been great if it came with some kind of lens cover instead of me trying to figure it out, but I'm not sure which size would be correct or offer the best fit.

Asked by: monolyth
Measure lens outside diameter with a caliper.  Pick out a cap from the Butler Creek chart. http://butlercreek.com/media/ButlerCreek-ScopeCoverGuide.pdf If you need to convert your caliper reading into millimeters, divide it by .03937.  Example: 1.555"/.03937=39.5mm

Burris MSR .223 4.5-14x42mm Riflescope Ballistic Plex Reticle - 200195 this is the model for the 223 cal and I have seen that some of the Q&A responses identify a 7.62 caliber. Is this 7.62 caliber a different model number?

Asked by: nelsonjt99
Both riflescopes are identical, withthe sole exception of the custom etched cap that comes in the packaging. #200333 includes a Custom knob for a typical 5.56 cartridge #200334 includes a Custom knob for a typical 7.62 (.308) cartridge

Just bought the 4.5-14, 7.62 model, Planning on using Fed. GM 168 BTHP in a DPMS SASS. What's the max range the custom turret can reach for a 200 or 300 yard Zero? Your thoughts? I really want to explore this rifle's capabilities.

Asked by: Tony F
100y zero will max out around 500y 200y zero will max out around 550y 300y zero will max out around 625y The riflescope's turrets will go well beyond that, but we can only etch 1 revolution's worth of distance onto a cap.

I own a Sig Sauer M400 Predator and i am looking for a scope. i am torn between the Ballistic CQ™ (200437-FF) and this scope. I would like to be able to shoot up to 800-1000 yards since the gun is capable of doing that.

Asked by: Brandon801
The Ballistic CQ reticle is only marked to ~ 600y (depending on the cartridge and magnification you're using) and the AR Riflescope's C4 Wind MOA reticle was built for use with the C4 Customer Calibrated Clicker Cap. Using higher-grade match ammunition (Black Hills w/ 77gr MatchKing bullets for example) a custom turret would only be marked out to 500y An XTR II 3-15x or 4-20x would be more appropriate for this setup / goal

is this scope capable 800 to 1000 yard shots?

Asked by: motley100
I have the 7.62, turret is marked up to 500 yards and only rotates to about 300 yards past that, so you get about 900 yards. This is with a 100 yard zero with the pepr mount 0 MOA rail. If you went with a 20 MOA mount/rail you could get more.

Can I use either a straight base or a 20 moa base with this scope?  I'm just not sure if the 20 moa would have an affect on the elevation feature that's pre set based on the load.

Asked by: Engineer
I don't think this is a correct answer from Burris. A 20 MOA setup would be fine as long as you zero it a 100 yards. In fact it might be preferred. I have the 7.62 version mounted on a 0 MOA rail. It will only spin up to approx. 900 yards but has several revolutions down. So actually a 20 MOA rail/mount would be preferable. I've been very happy with the scope great product Burris, thanks.

Either will work great. The AR is set for 5.56 out-of-the-box, and the C4 is set at 7.62. But you can change the turrets to match your ammo exactly. The C4 model comes with one free custom turret. Also check out the Predator Quest models! Thanks for your interest.
