Can this unit clip to a rail in front of a day optic or is it only mounted via the scope objective adapter?

Asked by: ProfessionalFlatlander
They are mounted either on the objective with the clip on mount, or in front of the objective with the picatinny mount.

My BTS-35 wont clear the lowest profile BUIS on my AR. Looking for a riser to fit between the Mounting base and the optic itself. Also, my scope did not come with a QD base, can that be ordered separately?

Asked by: Niner
QD bases are not currently available. For a riser I would try something like the YHM 1/2" riser. I would get the 5" version.

Will you be releasing a clip on adapter that will allow me to run it on a 34mm optic? Vortex razor gen3 specifically.

Asked by: Bob27
They'll be based on objective size so no problem.

I have a Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42mm mounted on a 308, would the BTC 35 or 50 be best suited for adaption?

Asked by: PatH
You could really do either. Your field of view will be larger with the BTC 35 but your depth of field will be better with the BTC 50.

What is the weather proof and shock rating for the BTS 50? I cannot find this information anywhere in your materials or manual. Seems unusual this information is not prominently displayed

These have an IP67 rating.

Just to confirm, on my previous question about a video cable, Burris support suggested the 4-pin cable offered from TXGameHunters, the connector on the BTC is a 7pin. So the 4pin cable will work on this 7pin connector on the NTC for video output to a dvr?

Asked by: MAL_SBU
Apologies about the information on the cable. The 4 pin cables will not work with the BTC. You will need a 7 pin cable. Recommendations for that are Tactacam or similar 7 pin option.

Has there been any update as to when the adapters or any other accessories from the manual for the BTC units will be available? Last posting was “about a month” over one month ago. I am sure I am not the only one who would like to try it as described.

Asked by: MAL_SBU
They should be here in another week or so. We apologize for the delay.

Will there be a cable or can Burris define what compatible cable will work for a DVR? Also, can you perhaps provide some update on when there is expected to be clip on attachments available? Maybe a note on the webpage where folks will see the information

Will the Clip On Thermal scope work with a Burris MTAC 1-4x24 scope? Asking because it's what I already have.

Asked by: Wagner3430
It wont work on any scope cause they have no "clip on" available doesn't matter what you have. I think we need to get together and pay a 3rd party company to make the "Clip on" cause Burris (Berretta Holdings is the Mother Company) Has really let all there customers down on this one.

Where can I purchase the attachment clips for the BTC50 clip-on thermal? One did not come with the unit I bought from Planet Optics so there is no way I can attach it to my day scope.

Asked by: Penrose
They Still do not have any of the "Clip on" This was posted a month ago and I talked to customer service and they said that it will be a month or so but can be a few months before they have any. This is a monocular not a clip on. And I don't see Burris making this right with the customers that have been patiently waiting they got their money they don't care about anything else. There Customer service has gone down. Very sad.

Does the clip-on thermal have PIP?

Asked by: Shane Losh
The BTC does not feature PIP as there is no way to predict the day scope's field of view. It does feature the hot track, and red hot like the other units however.

So, currently does the BTC50 attach only to one's optical scope or does it also attach to the rifle barrel? If the latter, is a what sort of mount is required to attach to the barrel? Can this thermal take the recoil of a 308 or 6.5 Creedmore?

Asked by: Penrose
The BTC50 can be attached using a clip on objective mount, or a soon to be released picatinny rail mount. To my knowledge, there is not a way to attach it to a barrel at this time. They are recoil rated beyond .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor, so no problem. Thanks for your interest!

Will the 50mm clip on attach to a Burris Eliminator 3 scope?

Asked by: Chad127
It'll attach, but it won't work out well because the Eliminator's LRF needs to have a clear path to the target and back.

Can the 35mm Clip On work with the Burris AR-332 optic? If so, shut up and take my money.

Asked by: DBG6
Honestly hadn't thought to try it until we read this question- but we did, and yes, it works! Looks quite nice actually. While I wouldn't recommend the objective mount, it could probably be installed if you were to remove the picatinny rail sections (i wouldn't recommend attaching to the sunshade). We'll have a picatinny rail mount out soon, and that would be the ideal mounting solution for it.

How versatile is the clip on adapter, what range of objectives can one expect it to fit? I have one scope that is 24mm objective and the other is 44mm .Will it fit both?

Asked by: Hoof
Each objective ring will be capable of ~6-8mm of adjustment by using spacer rings that are included with the adapter. there will also be a rail mount option. It is not likely that a single objective mount will be able to accommodate the wide range from 24mm (likely a 30mm objective end) to 44mm (likely a 46-50mm objective end)

In order to mount a 300620 clip-on, how much gap is required between the pic rail on my rifle and the bottom of the scope bell? I'm not too hip on having to purchase another scope mount...

Asked by: Triprack
The Clip-ons will require a unique mount in order to assuredly withstand recoil while remaining functional- because these optics are designed to add thermal capabilities to day scopes, there will likely be a wide variety of applications that even we may not have predicted. Therefore, we will have a few objective mounts designed to adapt to various objective end diameters, as well as a rail mount option specific to this optic.

Why does foreward attachment scope have zoom capability? Won’t that mess with scope zoom?

Asked by: OutdoorEdventure
Thermal scopes are not optical scopes so they have a base magnification plus digital magnification which zooms into the digital image displayed on a screen. While increasing the digital zoom can pixelate the image, it can also make for more precise aiming at longer distances. Often hunters use the picture in picture to allow both a zoomed in view and a standard view simultaneously.

Can you use this on a magnum caliber rifle or just 223 , 308

Asked by: Anonymous
These are recoil limited devices due to their all digital nature. The exact maximum recoil rating is 500G/1ms.
