Rated 5 out of 5 by from Burris fast fire lll So out on the range after running some drills we are loading up to head home when I drop my glock 19 with a BURRIS FAST FIRE III of course it hit the concrete Optics first and cracked the glass call BURRIS up told them what happened they said send it... total of 5 day I had a new FAST FIRE mounted back on top of my G19. I will be switching other optics to BURRIS!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fastfire III is awesome The Burris Fastfire III is the best red dot sight available. I have purchased two Fastfire III's and a Fastfire II before the Fastfire III was available. The sight adjustments on the Fastfire III are super easy to adjust, the battery access is on the top and you can mount these on rifles, handguns and shotguns with a variety of mounting options. I love Burris products and especially the Fastfire III. I wish my Fastfire II was a Fastfire III I like them that much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from battery life I have had a fast fire 3 for two , I shoot two matches a month. I leave the sight on for the whole match{ about three hours. After two years I had to change the battery. Great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it Only one downside, the red dot becomes a little harder to see in bright conditions. It was hard for me to find it at all at first, but after a little practice I can pull up on target very quickly. I love it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jury is still out! Picked up the Fastfire III on the recommendation of a fellow shooter. I had trouble right away getting the battery cover on. Thought I had it correct but it only lasted two shots and then the cover and battery went flying. Gathered the pieces and went home to try again. Thought I got right, went back to the range and had the same problem after about 25 shots. Seems like the threads got crossed right from the start. Sent it back to Burris for repair and got the same one back and had basically the same problem getting the cover on. This thing needs a redesign of that cover. The cover needs to be a little longer/taller with a thread centering / thread starter incorporated into it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I picked up the Burris Fastfire 3 thinking it would go great on my Sig Mpx 9mm, I liked the size and thought it would compare to a Eotech... And I was wrong, I ran the first mag and got it sighted in quick and painlessly. Second mag the red dot shut off halfway through, turned it back on and 5 shots later... boom it kicks off again. Then it became spuratic, it would go a whole mag and be fine. The next 5 it would shut off almost every round. I changed the battery and it's still acting the same. You can imagine how unhappy I am having a sight that I can't use and have to ship back after only 2 times at the range. In my opinion, save your money and buy a Eotech, Aimpoint or Trijicon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small & Accurate Put this product on top of a Burris scope on my AR-15. Easy to sight in and shoot. very accurate. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5.... dropped the gun and broke the glass. Surprisingly it still worked and was accurate. So why drop a star? The gun only fell about 2 feet and into soft dirt. Broke too easily but was still accurate AND Burris replaced it with no questions asked!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size for Handgun use... I have owned and used 6 FF3's over the preceding years..I currently own three. I have had to send only one back in all that time, because of faulty workmanship etc...but overall I have had a good experince with these sights. I have them on a Buckmark .22, Ruger 22/45 .22 and a Glock MOS 19. The small size and light weight is a plus. The controls work well, the build is good, and the price point is fair. Unless you have a "real" need for a mil spec grade sight and abuse your firearms and sights, and are not just an armchair wannabe..this FF3 will serve you well under all but the most demanding conditions. I have them, I use them, they work. I would not hesitate to get another one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead after first trip to range Very easy to mount to my M&P CORE 40. Tested the sight and adjusted to co-witness with the iron sight and headed off to the range. First round down range the dot disappeared. Turned off and back on...nothing. Removed from gun and removed/replaced battery. Mounted back on gun and dot returned when powered on. Next round down range dot disappeared again. This is gong to be my USPSA open gun and I need a reliable sight, which this one proved not to be. Returned to retailer for refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy yet Bought a new FastFire 2, mounted it on my Ruger Mark II, sighted it in indoors and seemed to work fine although the red dot was a little dim. Took it outside and can’t see the red dot at all. It’s supposed to adjust automatically according to ambient light, but mine didn’t and there’s no way to adjust it manually. Went online and filled out a return authorization form, and they sent me a mailing label, not postage paid! Still waiting to hear back from Burris. Not impressed so far. We’ll see how they handle the repairs before I pass final judgment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Using the FastFire 2 on a vintage AR with a non-removable handle and mounted on a short Picatinny rail. My old eyes were having trouble with the iron sights. Really impressed with the tight grouping at 100 yards after the installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sight seems durable, & is very small. I haven't yet spent a lot of time with the sight, but I really like it so far. It is the smallest I've owned, & hopefully the most durable. I have only used it on rifles, but I am curious & plan to try it on one of my pistols. The included sun shade is a nice touch. The only thing that I would change, is the way the switch works. The short pause at start up causes some initial confusion, as well when trying to turn it off. The button design of the switch is very clean & functional, but the operating logic can also be deceptive enough to lead to accidently leaving it turned on & a wasted spent battery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like the Fast Fire 3, but.... I bought this optic 11-03-2016 and it broke the first time I used it on 11-16-2016. I contacted customer service and I am hoping they make it right. Overall the FF3 is a nice looking, user friendly red dot. I had it mounted to my G17-MOS. **See picture below** The controls work great, the dot was clear and easy to acquire. It also fit into my holster. Took it shooting and after 150 rounds, the dot became a blur. The glass that covers the laser projector had cracked. **See picture below.** I'm hoping that my situation is an anomaly, being that I sold my RM05 in order to buy the FF3. I wanted a laser that is adjustable because the RMR I had didn't mesh well with the weapon mounted light I have. I've read so many great things about the FF3 that I decided against getting anothe RMR (RM07) and got the FF3 instead. The approximate 150 rounds I used it before the glass cover broke was great. I can't wait to have my FF3 back and running again. As of now, I am giving this review based upon the pre- breakage. Like I said, I'm hoping this is an anomaly, and a testament to me having back luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality at a great price!! I bought the Burris Fastfire 3 on the recommendation of many fellow competitive shooters. I currently shoot USPSA primarily. Mounted the 8 MOA fast fire on a Springer Precision mount replacing the rear sight on my CZ P-09. The sight is lite, yet robust, the dot and the optics are very clear. The 8 MOA dot is bright enough for full sunlight shooting and is fast to pick up in rapid fire courses. Add to this Burris's Lifetime warranty and you have a winner all around. I will not hesitate to purchase this sight for some of my other firearms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in it's class for the money!!!!!! As a professional comp shooter this is the best sight in its class for the money. I do have other similar sights from other companies and this sight measures up to the task. As for the cost factor you could buy two of these for the cost of one of the other competitors. I highly recommend you check this sight out before you spend the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great Reddot I'm thrilled with the Fast-fire 3, I purchased an adapter site mount for my XDm and the Burris mount installed very easily. The only issue was that this was my second Fast fire as the 1st one I was not able to put the battery cap on it. It would not thread down. This one worked but I was nervous about possibly stripping threads( read other reviews of that happening) So I had to re tighten 3 times as 1st times were too loose and unit would turn off with recoil. Once it was tight enough it worked like a champ and I immediately started getting good tight pattern on the target. Couldn't be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NO Questions Asked Customer Service is becoming the #1 priority at some companies. Some even sacrifice quality for great customer service. This is not case here with Burris. I had a malfunction with my device, and I thought I was out of luck. Then I ran to get the box to confirm my suspicions. Lifetime Warranty. For Life. No questions asked. And as far as the quality they are right up there with anyone. And the turn-around? The Superman like speed at which they expedited my order seals the fact that I will not buy anything else. They now have a customer for life. Maybe other companies should follow their path? Thank you Burris, for an excellent product and EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! -David Tordahl

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Number 4 Just received my fourth fast fire 3, so obviously I like the sight. Only thing is this one has problems with the switch. So before I got to use it I had to send it in for service, which I really don't like to have a new item worked on before using it. One other one I have, the switch is finicky on but works. Probably should have given 5 stars, just upset for having to put more money out and waiting on it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sight would not hold zero I purchased the Burris FastFire 3 in early December. I shot three clips of 40 caliber ammo through it to get it zeroed in. The sight worked great. All of my shots were grouped together. On the 4th clip of 45 ACP ammo, I couldn't even hit the target. The sight was all over the place. It would not hold zero for some reason. I walked up to around 10 feet from target and I could barely hit the target at that range. I contacted Burris customer service and they said it was under warrenty and send it back which I did. Waiting to see if they repair it or send me a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition To Levergun Bought the Fastfire III for a keltec pmr, but ended up putting it on a Marlin 1895 GBL in 45-70. With a mounting plate made for the Marlin receiver it sits low, looks sleek, and functions great. It definitely handles the 45-70 recoil just fine, and doesn't add a nauseating tacticool look. The elevation adjustment limits my zeroing to about 300 yards, and doesn't cowitness with the standard sights very well, but the open field of view easily allows for hold over. Easy to install, great features.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Button is garbage The sight works, but it takes some force pressing the button to turn it on and cycle through the modes. As if that weren't bad enough, every now and then one press of the button(no matter how quickly) would register as two and skip a mode. I found out that if I just hold down the button with my finger/thumb and wiggle it around even slightly it would rapidly cycle through all the modes continuously. I got this sight over the FastFire 2 because I wanted an 8MOA dot, but after this experience I think I would rather have the FastFire 2 with the more reliable simple on/off switch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice, compact size I bought a Burris FastFire 3 for a Ruger 22/45. The Pro's :The product seemed nicely built, instructions were very easy to understand, the features were nice. I would like an auto off feature for the red dot, but I can live without it. The Cons: Within 1 week of installation onto the 22, the battery was dead. I thought maybe I had left it on. Replaced the battery, 4 days later, that battery was dead, replaced the battery, and again 4 days later it was dead. The battery (per Burris) is supposed to last 10k hours (which I did the math and that comes to around 415 days). I returned the FF3 to Burris ( they have a top notch, no questions asked warranty on all of their products) and they are sending me a new one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I think I got a dud I believe my unit has a faulty switch as, initially, I could not get the unit to shut off. Nor would the brightness change. I checked the voltage of the battery to insure that it was good (3.11v). When I reinstalled the battery the unit would not turn on. I have returned the unit to Burris. Duds happen in any product line. I expect that Burris will stand behind their product. I will update this review when the new unit arrives and I've had a chance to evaluate it. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1,400 rounds and counting I've been using a FastFire 2 on my Glock 19 for the past three years and I love it! It still looks and functions like it's brand new. It's always spot on. If there's a dot there, there's a hole there. Replacing the battery is simple enough and I leave the on/off switch in the on position with the cover on in my safe. Then it's ready to go if I need it in a hurry. I replace the battery about every 10 months when I feel the dot is getting a bit weak. This unit is amazingly durable. Zero issues with it in over 1,400 shots fired. Great for an old guy's eyes. I clean the lens after every trip to the range with a lens cloth on the outside and a Q-tip on the inside. No signs or wear or scratching. Burris rocks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best deal around My friend bought one and I liked its size, features and performance so I researched miniature red dot sights and for the money this is the best deal going. With the addition of the AR-F3 mount it brings it ruggedness almost to the level of red dots at twice the price and the performance in clarity, sight picture and reticle sharpness are as good or better. Wrap that package in a no questions forever warranty and unless your an operator you can't go wrong with this sight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding red dot sight. I purchased this FF III from BPS & installed it on my Buckmark Hunter. The Hunter rail had to be modified as it is not a Picatinny style. The sight is easy to use and very accurate after I got it setup. I really like the 4 settings for the dot and the battery is accessible from the top of the sight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very best warrantee I bought my Burris FF3 red dot three years ago, mounted it on my every day carry gun an FNX.45 T. I carry the gun 15 hours a day. My sight worked well until I ran into a tree while on my motor cycle. I chipped the emmiter window and it still worked and was still zeroed but the dot was fuzzy. I sent it to Burris after checking in with them online. Within a week they returned a new unit. Not my old beat up one, a new one. It now sits on my Glock 40 in 10mm and I ran 150 rounds of smokin hot hand loads yesterday. Even with that punishing recoil it holds zero. Burris will get my business again. Them boys “and girls” have the best warrantee around and they dont mess around about getting it back to you. Thank you Burris !!!

Asked by: THECROW
I'd recommend trying an Energizer battery, as they are more in spec. We had a batch go out with batteries that were out of spec and caused threading issues. I'd try the new battery and definitely let us know if you need a replacement cap. Additionally be sure to not use the blue adjustment screwdriver for the installation as it is too small. If you need a new cap please go here:
