Digital Technical Support Representative                  

Act as the brand voice of Burris and Steiner optics by publicly responding to customer questions, complaints, repair concerns and product reviews. Communicate effectively, demonstrate expertise, and interact with customers to provide solutions and exceptional technical support through all of our digital channels:

-Social Media (public facing comments and private messages)

-Amazon (reviews and comments)

-BazzarVoice (reviews and comments)

-ExpertVoice (questions and comments)


Essential Duties:                                     

Turn Detractors into Promoters, turn negative reviews into brand advocates through exceptional customer service.
Respond to customer inquiries concerning a variety of questions, on a variety of products, including troubleshooting the issue to determine the best action, general technical support, repair, replacement or upgrade of product. 
Work closely with the Customer Service team on repair, replacement, order entry or upgrade of products as needed.
Manage and interpret customer requirements by effectively communicating to understand, anticipate and provide a resolution. 
Adapt communication styles to interact well with a large and diverse group of customers in very public facing channels.
Develop and ensure positive customer relations and professional service support. 
Work with repair team to track status of repair and provide updates to customer, as requested. 
Maintain professional and technical knowledge; develop in depth understanding of the products and research varying options and solutions to deliver the best support to the customer. 
Other duties as assigned such copy writing, creative brainstorming, content creation, etc.
This employee will work closely with with the rest of the marketing team on various projects as their primary workload allows.
This roll will be expected to participate in and travel to some of the following events: shooting matches, trade shows, photo/video shoots, hunting camps, etc.

Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm and professional through stressful or ambiguous situations; objectively interpret information. 
Advanced computer knowledge including all digital channels mentioned above
Advanced typing skills
Ability to clearly communicate using a clear, distinct voice
Requires an interest in the outdoor/shooting sports industry
Comprehensive knowledge of the optics category

Work Environment:

This role will be part time remote, part time in an office on the west side of Greeley. Although this roll falls under the traditional 8-5 schedule there is the “always on” expectation to handle emergencies after hours and on weekends. The employee will have to manage their workflow to ensure prompt response across all digital channels.


This employee will have to work well with the rest of the marketing team and will be expected to participate in and travel to some of the following events: shooting matches, trade shows, events, photo/video shoots, etc.


Physical Demands:

Excellent clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities that permits the employee to communicate effectively on the telephone and in e-mail.  Physical ability to sit for long periods of time.  Ability to use all required safety equipment.  Frequently uses standard office equipment including personal computers, telephones, calculators, and copy/fax machines.
