SpeedBead Shotgun Sight is rated out of 5 by 30.
Rated 2 out of 5 by gooser from Difficult Mounting I have tried a Speed Bead (Brother's shotgun) and thought it was great so I thought I would put one on my Benelli SBE II. It is extremely difficult to mount the Speed Bead on the stock. The pins on the mounting plate are so difficult to insert into the stock holes, the foam padding that is supposed to remain between the Speed Bead base and stock rips when trying to install as per the instructions (see photo). I guess that's why they provide two in the package. Second attempt (after destroying first foam padding on installation) would have the same results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RAMo from Difficult mounting Bought this for a Benelli M2 and immediately had difficulty mounting. The pins were too large to go into the receiver holes. I had to use a dremel to reduce the out diameter of the pins in order to get them to go into the receiver holes, then the pins were too long so I had to trim them in order for the stock and receiver to sandwich the mounting plate nicely. Really not sure what happened here as I ordered/received a Benelli M2 specific mount. Not sure who to blame on the out of tolerance manufacturing, Benelli or Burris but either way it took me about 2.5 hours to get the sight mounted. I would have expected 30 minutes or less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by freddy from Benelli 20ga Super Sport Bought SpeedBead quite awhile ago and through sporting goods manager he sold me the #30041for a Benelli M2,etc.Remember there is no listing for my 20ga SuperSport so I gave it a try and worked like a charm. There is a little part of the mounting bracket that extends out from the stock and action. Its so little its not worth trimming or doing anything.Happy!I would recommend camphor the hole on the bracket so roll pin goes through and doesn't stick on assembly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Duckhunter from Excelent Sight I bought this for my SBE, it was easy to setup & I have used it on two duck hunts so far. It turned out to be more then I expected in that not only do it force me to keep my head down on the gun which was the original purpose but it's also so accurate that when we have decoying ducks or geese i'm now able to take head shots & not ruin the meat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SBE3 Turkey Hunter from Lowest mounting height. I bought the SpeedBead specifically for turkey hunting. To install it on my SBE3 I had to slightly modify it since a model for this gun isn't available. I love the fact that I can co-witness the red dot of the Vortex Venom & my fiber optic open sights - a reference & a backup are always there. I simply remove the Venom when using the gun for other purposes. The SpeedBead stays in place, out of the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buffaloman from Increase your hits! At 72 years old, my eyes are getting tired and I thought I'd never shot a shotgun again. After a friend showed me his SpeedBead sight, I knew it would help me but WOW, did it ever. When I draw up on a bird, I now know exactly where I am shooting because I can focus on the bird and see in my peripheral vision where the red dot is. It does not block out the bird, only show relationships. It really improves the sight picture in low light such as early in the morning or just before quitting time. It is also good for dark days as well. The mounting system is well designed and relatively easy to install.Sighting in is a simple alignment with the present front bead sight of your shotgun. It stays on target once sighted in.
I have never been a good shot but after installing the SpeedBead my shooting improved . The last four days of goose season, I shot 12 times. I bagged 6 geese. That includes an opportunity where I & my partner pulled up on a dozen geese early in the morning and both emptied our guns without a single hit. The birds were legs down into the decoys at 30 yards. First flock of the day. Man were they lucky. Even with the Speed Bead, you can't flock shoot !
I even purchased a second mount to go onto another shotgun I use for ducks and pheasants. Obviously I recommend this sight.
The next improvement would be for Burris to develop additional mounting systems for more manufacturers and for 20 ga shotguns. While its a big investment, it is well worth it your me to keep shooting.

How do you replace the battery on the speedbead?
If your Speedbead mount has a Fastfire II on it, the battery goes in the bottom of the sight. If you have a Fastfire III the battery goes in the top.
