Athlon Untamed Puts the Burris Fullfield 6-24x50 to the Test
Athlon Untamed recently put the Bear Creek Arsenal BC-203 .17 HMR through a full range test, pairing the suppressor-ready varmint rifle with a Burris Fullfield 6-24x50 riflescope and Burris Signature Rings.
Author Michael Hagemeyer tested the setup with five different .17 HMR loads, evaluating accuracy, velocity, suppressed performance, and how the complete rifle and optic combination performed on the range.
The Fullfield earned praise throughout the evaluation, with Hagemeyer noting:
“Optically, the Fullfield delivered sharp, clear image quality throughout the entire magnification range, including at the maximum 24x setting.”
He also highlighted its performance as conditions changed:
“The large 50mm objective lens also provided excellent light transmission, maintaining bright and usable sight pictures in low-light conditions.”
But how did the BC-203 perform when rounds started going downrange? And which of the five loads delivered the best accuracy?
