Can I use a Fullfield on an Air Rifle?
Burris Fullfield Joins Shoot On’s Benjamin Marauder Gen3 Range Test
Modern air rifles offer serious precision, and Shoot On contributor Yamil Sued recently explored that potential with the Benjamin Marauder Gen3. For his first experience with a modern PCP air rifle, Sued paired the .25-caliber Marauder with a Burris Fullfield 2.5–10x42 riflescope featuring an illuminated E3 reticle.
“I have had good experiences with Burris optics, and this scope offered the magnification and features I wanted for the Marauder,” Sued writes.
Testing at 50 yards, Sued evaluated three pellet options, recording velocities and shooting five-shot groups. His smallest group measured just 0.615 inches, offering an impressive introduction to the platform’s capabilities.
The review also follows his learning curve, from finding a high-pressure air source to discovering why rotary magazine clearance matters when selecting scope ring height. It’s a firsthand look at the details that go into a new airgun setup—and the satisfaction of seeing it come together on the range.
