MTAC 1-4x24mm Tactical Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from On Point Fastfire mounted on my AR-15 very easy and mount very sturdy. Very quick to get on target and sited in in only two shots. Endures pounding in my cruiser and still dead on when checked. Glad I chose this scope.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Push button is junk I bought this scope about a month ago and when I received it I put the battery in it and the reticle came to life. Going through the setting was a breeze with the push button, that is until you get the scope on the gun and out in the real world. The push button does not work at any temperature below normal room temperature. While I was at the range sighting it it I could not cycle through the brightness settings. It would turn on on the cold but as soon as you wanted to change brightness it would do nothing after the first press and the second press would shut it off. I wish this thing had a turret style knob instead of a push button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zeroed out of the box I was debating this against a Vortex Viper 1-4, which was about $60 less, to mount on an LWRC SPR. I ultimately, obviously, chose the Burris for a couple reasons. A couple of my friends have this setup and they didn't have complaints plus it has a red dot. I mounted it and went to an outdoor range fully expecting to spend some time dialing it in. Remarkably, absolutely NO adjustments needed to be made. I couldn't believe it! This thing was zeroed right out of the box. It's tough, too. A buddy that was with me accidentally dropped the rifle and it landed on the scope. Keep in mind this is the first day out with it, too. It got a pretty good scuff on it after falling about 5 feet but the glass stayed true and the FastFire 3 didn't budge either. For $500ish, for fast acquisition, good glass, for a tank of a scope, you pretty much cannot go wrong.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Firdt One Was a Dud I purchased the unit at Bass Pro, two days later I loaded the batteries. The red dot worked great, but the scope was defective. When loading the battery, it turned on. Once loaded however, there was no brightness adjustment on the illuminated reticle and the unit would not turn off (the auto shut off did work). Once off, the unit would not turn back on unless you took the battery out and re-inserted it. Bass Pro to the rescue, I took the unit back and, even though I had to accept a counter display model, it works perfectly. I haven't sighted the unit in yet but it appears to be solid (with a great Burris guarantee) so I'm looking forward to hitting the range.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very functional Upon receipt of the scope and mount, the rear mounting nut on the AR-P.E.P.R. mount would not tighten to the listed torque value of 65 in-lbs. Burris quickly replaced both the nut and stud, which tightened to the listed torque value. Customer service was prompt and courteous. After finally shooting with the scope, the TAC30 proved to be very accurate at 100yds. The Fastfire red-dot was accurate out to 25yds, but difficult to shoot at greater distances. All of the adjustment knobs were accessible and easy to use with pronounced "clicks." I was, however, a little disappointed that the TAC30 did not ship with any protective-optic covers. All of my other scopes contained protective covers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sights This was my 3rd sight set up, after using an ACOG while in the Army, I purchased an EOTec to use on my personal rifle. Hated it so much so when I sold that I got the Tac-30 as a recommendation from a buddy and loved it! Great for quick acquisition, the reticule is bright and sharp, and the weight is easy to manage. Got the product fast and have been extremely happy with it since!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Push button is garbage - reticle ring is too thick I purchased this scope to mount on my M4. It mounted easily and secure. Installing the battery and attempting to use the illuminated reticle was a total disappointment. The detent button would not function at all. I boxed it up Andre returned it for service. More disappointment when I received it back. There was nothing in the box, describing the problem and what corrective measures were taken to repair the issue? Really? I’m convinced, (after reading many reviews) that this problem is manufacturing defect that Burris plain fails to correct. Unacceptable in Munich book, and I won’t need their 20% off coupon. Burris won’t receive another dime of my scratch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waiting on customer service!!!! I bought the tac30 scope to complement my new bushmaster 223 rifle. I purchased this online from cabelas and as soon as I opened the box I knew something wasn't right. First of all it didn't take a Guinness to figure out this product had already been opened or possibly returned and sold again. But that being said, without mounting yet the optics look great. The only issue I have is with the battery install on the scope itself. Direction are a bit vague and it seems like the metal tabs where you install the battery either get in the way or simply try to fold over. I've tried emailing the company about this issue, but haven't been given a response yet. Hopefully I will get this resolved soon.

I can't get the illumination to work. Does the battery compartment ship with a clear plastic cover that would prevent the battery from making contact?

Asked by: GrantD
Depending on the age of the scope it could have come with a plastic battery insulator piece. If not we recommend trying a new battery. If you still have any trouble please let us know and we will get you all taken care of. https://burris.supportsync.com/

I wish to utilize this scope on a Ruger 308 scout rifle. Is this scope compatible with that cartridge? Is that what 30 means? I see in the Natchez catalog this scope designated that way and with a 1 in in front of it.That said, in the pricing it is 556.

Asked by: Stephen D
Hello, The "30" indicates that the scope has a 30mm main tube.
