NEW: Now available in a non-illuminated model (#201034) for less complexity and cost-savings.

This is serious, state-of-the-art technology for competitive shooters and tactical operators.

XTR II 3-15x50 mm riflescope features a 5-times zoom system and 25% thicker tube construction than the original XTR™ Riflescope.

The front focal plane reticle design on this and all high-magnification XTR II riflescopes allows the reticle size to increase or decrease as magnification is increased or decreased. Trajectory compensation is always correct and proportional for the selected power setting. This reticle design is also called first focal plane or FFP.

It has dimensionally-matched precision adjustment knobs and Zero Click Stop technology.

High-performance optics offer Hi-Lume® multi-coated lenses. The lenses optimize target resolution, contrast, and low-light performance.

All hand-fitted internal assemblies are triple spring-tensioned for absolute shockproofing, even under severe recoil. They are vibration resistant, even on extended vehicular patrols.

The riflescope outdelivers its modest price tag. And it’s protected forever by the Burris Forever Warranty™.

XTR II™ Riflescope 3-15x50mm is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy fix I bought a used 3X12 and as with another reviewer the retical illumination didn't work. I could feel that the control ring for the rheostat war loose. Removed the battery installation cover, lifted out the rubber washer under the battery, took a .050in. Allen wrench and tightend the two screws that hold the ring on. Took about 3 minutes total. Scope illumination now works perfect. Bought this great scope at a real good price because of that little problem. I am very very happy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy contender This scope if fantastic. At the price point i really don't see how it could be beat. The clarity is top notch. The light gathering ability is spot on for its class. Illuminated reticle is nice. The turrets are positive clicks. The tracking of the scope is dead on. Holds zero on my Sako A7 30-06. I just took it out for a bear hunt when it was raining it didn't fog up once. Overall you owe it to yourself to give this scope a look if your shopping for a mid high end scope. Do side by side against any scope in its price range i think you will be very impressed. Also one of the most important things (Forever Warranty). That's enough said why buy from someone who doesn't stand behind there product accident's happen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good glass - illumination issues The glass on this scope (3-15x50 scr mil) is exceptionally clear. At night, looking down the street I could make out definition on individual leaves under dim streetlights at about 400yds. Very clear, great resolution. Good light transmission. The illumination is not as excellent. Best settings are right in the middle. Low is really only good for NV, which I don't use. High at 11 is extremely bright. Unfortunately for me, illumination stopped working within a month of purchase. At first it would only illuminate at some stops. Now it doesn't illuminate anywhere. Currently preparing to send for repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Glass and Features I purchased this scope for a custom Aero Precision build. It is mounted with an Aadmount scope mount. The scope is rock solid and built like a tank. The turrets have positive clicks without being overly tight. The reticle is awesome, however I feel that the lower illumination settings are useless. That isn't really a big deal because the other settings are great when needed. The glass is phenomenal. It is clear from edge to edge, even when set to higher magnifications. It is also a great scope in low light situations. I highly recommend this scope and believe it compares well with higher priced scopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It I have the xtr2 3-15x scr-mil and love it ... I can see bullet holes in white paper at 500yds ... none of my spotting scopes had been able to do that! I have it on .300WM ... REM700 action, criterion barrel, mcCree chassis ... usually shoot off manfrotto tripod ... I live in rural area and the grass is too high to lay down much. The illumination is great for using low power magnification and holding (I usually hold and don't crank after zeroing). Illumination not good for NV as washes out the target, but that is true regardless of the scope or illumination. We don't use illumination with NV, we do use it in the day time with the scope on low magnification, so we can see the hash marks on the reticle. It is a bit long and a bit heavy, but on the 15 pound .300WM that is not an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great glass and featurs of a more expencive scope. I took it to the range only once and I'm pleased with the performance. I gave 4 stars as the parallax adjustment and power zoom knobs are a bit hard to turn. Other than that you pay at least half the price for the quality and features found on a more expensive scopes.
Date published: 2016-01-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice scope This scope was a major step in quality over the other brands I have. It is very clear and the adjustments track perfect. The only issues with the scope has been the illuminated reticle quit working within two weeks. With the Burris warranty I am not concerned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from well made, could not use beyond 9X Decided to buy this scope after multi-hours spent on internet, comparing features and reading reviews. Planned to install it on custom AR15, 18" barrel. I really, really wanted to like this scope, however sent it back. Pros: extremely well made, hefty, but no heavy. Excellent day/night illumination. Good to great glass quality, only slight CA. First Focal Plane implementation is great across all ranges, till 9-10X (see Cons). Cons: main one - unusable (to me) beyond 9X. Basically image becomes very small hole, with coverage of about 2-3 feet at about 9-10X. Could not even see full reticle. Perhaps bad QC, since it supposed to be 7.5ft at 15X at 100 yards (specs). Honestly I'm out of options, since this is the only reasonably priced FFP mil-dot illuminated scope with good glass.

Is this overkill for an AR 5.56? What mounting rings would I use for an AR with picatinny rails?

Asked by: wojman
It depends on what 5.56 you have and what you will be using it for. We would recommend using the 34mm AR PEPR mount. #410345

Unfortunately I do not have a cross-reference for bases on a Sauer 100. but with typical picatinny-style bases, the XTR Signature rings in Medium height would be best.

What size butler creek covers does the xtrii 3-15X take? The measurements seem to be I between thier size chart. Thanks!

Asked by: Xtrxtrxtr
I do not have Butler Creek measurements for the XTRII's as they are supplied with lens covers. My recommendation if you would like Butler Creek covers would be to take the scope to a shop that supplies those covers and fit them manually. If your original covers are broken, give us a call and we'll replace them free of charge. 888.444.0244

What is the minimum focusing distance on these scopes?

Asked by: NC73
If we are talking Parallax, the minimum setting is 50 yards. However you can see things clearly closer in than that. Say if you are shooting 25 yards.
